We really enjoyed the opportunity to be part of organizing Ottawa's first DrupalCamp. It was a great success, and as a platinum sponsor we were happy to see it take place.  There were a lot of good presentations, but we'd like to highlight a few of them here on our site.  The first is a great talk by Tom Erickson, CEO of Acquia talking about Drupal & government around the world. As an Acquia Partner, OpenConcept was really happy that so many of their team was able to come in to participate in this event.

It was also a pleasure to have Andrew Hoppin, CEO of New Amsterdam Ideas involved in highlighting his experience as CIO of the NY Senate project which migrated over to Drupal.

John Jordan also gave a really good talk. We worked with John on the initial implementation of BuyAndSell.gc.ca and so it was excellent to see how far it has come in that time.

There was a great panel discussion which involved our client Sang Trinh from the University of Ottawa, Andrew Sinkinson from Statistics Canada, Colin Chan from Ontario.ca and moderated by Ottawa native Kieran Lal from Acquia.

It was also really appreciated that Dries Buytaert made the video keynote focusing on the status of Drupal 8 and encouraging developer participation in the issue queue.
