Building inclusive applications is part of our mandate. Since 2008, we have proactively participated in integrating the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for accessibility – including WCAG 2.0, WAI-ARIA and ATAG 2.0) in Drupal Core. Our strategic work turned Drupal 7 and 8 into the most accessible Web Content Management Systems out-of-the-box. Mike Gifford, our Founder and CEO, was made a Drupal Core’s Accessibility Maintainer in 2012 but has been spearheading this change in the Drupal community for over a decade.
Web accessibility is just like web security: it is about a journey of ongoing improvement rather than a checklist. This is why we provide workshops, and organizational reviews to see that barriers are eliminated.
Our digital accessibility services include:
- organizational accessibility reviews focused on websites and intranet sites.
- monitoring and maintenance
- training for content editors, developers, designers, managers and administrators (Our next workshop is Dec 11th)
- guidance on writing effective Accessibility Statements
